Qualification and calibration
Our polarimeters are calibrated at factory with quartz control plates, certified by the German Metrology Institute (Physikalisch-Technischen Bundesanstalt PTB), which is the highest authority for metrology in Germany, and are delivered with a calibration report.
On request, a service technician of Schmidt+Haensch or one of our representatives can put into operation the instrument and can prove its analytical performance. For documentation purposes, the documents: - Installation Qualification (IQ),
- Operational Qualification (OQ) and
- Performance Qualification (PQ) can be completed together with the customer.
For periodic checks of the instrument, we recommend the purchase of a quartz control plate, that we can deliver, and a periodic check of the calibration. The quartz control plate is delivered with a factory certificate. On request, the German Metrology Institute (PTB) can certify the quartz control plate for an additional fee.
All necessary data for a GLP/GMP-conform documentation (sample-identification number, measuring value, dimension, date and time) can be transmitted as text line for the printer or ASCII-data row for the PC via serial RS232-interface a printer or to a personal computer.
On request, a qualified service technician of Schmidt + Haensch or one of our representatives can put into operation the delivered instrument or system and can instruct the customer?s operators.
Maintenance and service for our polarimeters by Schmidt+Haensch one of our representatives is always available. Small problems can be solved via Service-Hotline.
An optional Service Agreement can be offered by request. In case a service agreement has been settled, a service technician can repair the instrument soon. For the periodic maintenance of the polarimeters, our representative can offer a Service Agreement on request. With this agreement, our instruments can be checked and maintained periodically (normally once a year).
